Our Lady in Egypt

The apparition at Zeytoun and those presently occurring over the domes of St. Mark's Coptic Church in Asyout, Upper Egypt, are unusual images and very similar in nature. There have been numerous reports of inexplicable physical healings, multi-colored lights, doves of light and several images of what appear to be the outline of the person of Mary with her hands extended as if she is protecting the entire human race. These apparitions at Asyout, which began in mid-August, 2000, are occurring in the heart of Moslem fundamentalism areas, where many persecutions have been reported, and may foretell Mary's role in changing the heart of the followers of Mohammed. As such, these events are another call to prayer, to all of us, that the Truth of Jesus Christ may shine forth to those who do not acknowledge him.
